A common sense guide to the Internet...
Anonymous Web Browsing
How do you Web browse anonymously? You use a Web anonymiser. The service allows you to surf anonymously by passing your Net connection through a secondary proxy server. The proxy requests Web pages on your behalf.
Anybody monitoring your Net access will only see traffic to and from the proxy. Your Web surfing cannot be monitored remotely and cookies cannot be stored on your computer permanently, thus keeping your Web habits private.
One of the main disadvantages of using a Web anonymiser is that you rely on a secondary server to retrieve the Web pages you visit. This can slow down page loading.
